Hello, and thanks for visiting my web site.
My name is Rick Lane and I live in west-central Ohio, close to many short tracks and the bigger speedways. I have been photographing race cars for 40+ years.
It all started for me in 1961 when our Indiana raised basketball coach took his 8th grade team (all 7 of us) to the Indianapolis 500.
After attending the race, I was hooked on auto racing for LIFE and have been to every 500 mile race since.
Purchased my first camera in ’68 and have progressed from darkroom & film to the digital era.
I have been fortunate to be a credentialed stringer photographer for the Indianapolis Star since 1973 and a member of the Indianapolis 500 Oldtimers Club.
Since 2004, I have been on the photo staff at Chicagoland Speedway and, in 2010, assumed the position of Track Photographer/Photo Coordinator.
But my real love is photographing the sprint cars and midgets that race on the local dirt tracks.
Many Saturday nights are spent at Lawrenceburg Speedway; one of the country's premier dirt tracks.
If there is any racing photography requirement you need, please contact me and I will gladly assist.

Again, thanks for viewing.
Rick
